Project: Cheap-o Fuse Covers
(click on any of the small pictures for a large one!)

Why

I started looking at waterproof fuse blocks and covers and OUCH!! ($$$$$)

The Job

This was just a thought about how to protect some fuses I had on a bulkhead that was not immediately exposed to weather, but may get some occasional moisture.

I took at Tupperware container that had an inside that was the same size as the fuse block. I cut two holes for the entry and exit of wiring. I only used a slit from the top rim to get to the holes.

The container was "bendy" enough to allow the wires to be placed into the hole positions and sealed appropriately with sealant.

The whole mess was screwed to the bulkhead as a unit.

Snap the top on, and VOILA --- a $2.00 moisture protected fuse block!

Results

So far so good!

Different sizes of Tupperware could be used for other things besides fuses!
